PASS SB 344 NOW
We are ALMOST OUT OF TIME to save hundreds of lives!!!
ACT NOW to ensure lifesaving legislation for neonate puppies and kittens becomes law.
SB 344 updates the stray-hold law to allow licensed shelters to place stray or abandoned newborn puppies and kittens that need round-the-clock care into foster homes during the state-mandated three-day stray-hold period, ensuring they receive immediate, lifesaving care that most shelters can’t provide.
Contact your Senators AND Representatives and urge them to work with their colleagues and ensure the contents of SB 344 are included in a conference committee report and signed into law.
SB 344 passed the Senate 40-0 and advanced from the House Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee with no opposition.
